Mission

At St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Adult faith formation, in partnership with other parish ministries, fosters an encounter with Jesus, deepens our understanding of faith, and leads us to missionary discipleship in the world.

Vision

Adult faith formation enriches the lives of parishioners, in turn enriching the wider world outside of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, through opportunities that increase one’s knowledge of the Catholic Church’s teachings and that foster a relationship with Jesus that is lived out in all dimensions of our lives.

Goals

To help parishioners experience a deeper encounter with Jesus.
To regularly provide enrichment opportunities for adults in the parish that allow them to grow in their understanding of and fostering the practice of our Catholic Teachings and Tradition.
To foster a community of disciples committed to service to others and to justice in the public arena.

Objectives

To develop adult faith formation initiatives that are comprehensive and diverse.
To engage and strengthen the community of faithful and the faithfulness of the community in the parish through group discussion and exploration of Catholic Teachings and Scripture.
To offer regular opportunities for formation to adult parishioners.
To increase the number of adult parishioners involved in faith formation activities and in our various parish ministries and sacramental life.
To foster the development of small faith-sharing communities that support one another in missionary discipleship.
